Full body circuit workout!

Circuit training is an amazing way to burn fat, build muscle and keep a workout fun and interesting (well, as fun and interesting as working out can be) . With full body circuit workouts you will hit multiple muscle groups in one workout. They can also be a great way of getting a session in when you don’t have hours to spare.

Give this workout a go and you will feel the burn! You can keep this circuit completely bodyweight (which means it can also be done from home)or you can add barbells/dumbbells/kettlebells or anything you can find around the house if you are doing it at home.

So lets get started!

Warm up-

Jumping jacks x30

High knees x20

Bum kicks x40

Repeat 3 times! Take a 90 second break between each round.

Circuit-

Squats x12-15reps

Push ups x12-15reps (on your knees or toes depending on fitness levels) 

Walking lunges x20reps

Tricep dips x12-15reps

30 second plank 

Jump squats x15-20reps

Repeat this circuit 3 OR 4 times (depending on how much time you have and how much you want to burn!) Take a 90-120 second break between each round.

*reps-how many repetitions per exercise

Cool down-

After completing a workout always make sure to cool down and stretch off to lower your heart rate and reduce the build up of lactic acid.

Choose a lower intensity exercise and perform this for 3-5 minutes (this could be a 5 minute walk outside or on a treadmill) and then choose a few stretches to prevent muscle stiffness and cramping.
